2428

2428. Keep that number in mind for just a little bit. Some of you will recognize it as a counting by four’s sequence. Some of you may have lived at a 2428 street address. That may even be the last four digits of your phone number or a phone number you recognize.

2428. It is a number that we must embrace over the next two weeks. This number represents the number of homes that we can target between now and Revive This Nation, which begins on March 11. We have prayed. We have given names for the Harvest. We have prepared music. We have had sermons/messages about revival. We have talked about it. We have done a lot of things. But now, the talking must meet the road and WE MUST GO!

Consider this an invitation to join me over the next two Saturday mornings as we seek to go our in force to share with Fairburn about our revival services. I wish that we could touch the door of every home in our city. In fact, I wish that I could give you the number of individual homes that we have in our city. What I can offer at this point is 2428. Two Thousand Four Hundred and Twenty Eight Homes.

Here is how the 2428 challenge works. I am going to list out for you the way these numbers break down. Then, I want you to pray for your part in reaching into these neighborhoods. After that, I want you to join me Saturday morning at 10 AM as we go out. There are a lot of houses to cover, so WE NEED YOU! Let me rephrase that slightly…if we don’t have you, we will not be able to touch each of these homes over the next two Saturdays. Maybe you can’t do both, that is okay. Please make one. Maybe you can’t make either, but you have a Tuesday afternoon or a Thursday morning that you can…Great! Let me know which neighborhood you want to take on and I will supply you with what you need…I may even join you. Here are the break downs:

We have a real opportunity to be God’s agents of change in the lives of the people in these homes. I am asking you to come out and go with me. I know the questions range from how to when to why to what.
  • How? We will split into as many groups as we can to cover as many zones as we can.
  • When? Saturday March 3 and 10 from 10 am to noon
  • Why? Because Jesus is our only hope. Jesus is their only hope.
  • What? A post card invitation at each door to cover as much ground as possible in a short time.

We can do this! See you Saturday!
